Meet the cast of Georgy Girl: Marcus Galic as Ron Edgeworth

Marcus is a multidisciplinary creative working across acting, music, film and visual storytelling. He has a passion for bringing different creative disciplines together to tell engaging and memorable stories. His most recent theatre credit was Murder at the Theatre, a dance musical blending Broadway, Bollywood and murder mystery. He is delighted to now be joining the cast of Georgy Girl – The Seekers Musical.

Alongside performing, Marcus works as a composer, animator, game developer and filmmaker and is currently developing several of his own creative projects, including original musical works for both stage and screen.

Marcus is especially excited to be part of Georgy Girl alongside his wife, Stephanie Angelini, who plays Judith Durham. Together, they look forward to celebrating The Seekers' music and legacy with audiences.

Meet the cast of Georgy Girl: Tim Semmens as Bruce Woodley

Tim is thrilled to be returning to Beaumaris Theatre and is honoured to be paying tribute to Bruce Woodley and The Seekers in Georgy Girl – the Seekers Musical.

Hot on the heels of his performance in Babirra’s Frozen last month (with co-star David Overton), Tim is a vocalist with over 20 years’ experience and has been heavily involved in non-professional theatre for over a decade as a performer, producer and crew member. Tim’s performance highlights include Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical (Believe Theatrical Productions); Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Cactus Musicals); Fred Wright/Alonzo in Anne & Gilbert- the Musical (Beaumaris Theatre); Mr Sowerberry in Oliver! (Aspect Inc.); Monsieur d’Arque in Beauty and the Beast (Aspect Inc.) and the Magistrate in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (SLAMS Music Theatre Company).

His appearances also include Eurobeat: Moldova; The Boy from Oz; Shout!; Footloose and Bye Bye Birdie. Tim’s technical credits include Technical Supervisor for Shrek the Musical JR. (McKinnon Primary School), and Spotlight Operator for several companies, including CLOC, OSMaD, Babirra and Williamstown Musical Theatre Company.

Tim co-produced Cactus Musicals’ First Date and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which received an Award of Excellence from the Musical Theatre Guild of Victoria.

We are delighted to share that we've received a grant from Community Bank Sandringham to purchase a new lighting console.

Our current system has served us faithfully, but it's time for an upgrade that will help our talented lighting team create even more dazzling productions. Whether it's creating atmosphere, building drama, or ensuring every performer gets their moment in the spotlight, great lighting is an essential part of great theatre.

A huge thank you to Community Bank Sandringham for helping us turn up the brightness on community theatre.

Meet the cast of Georgy Girl: David Overton as Keith Potger

David is a performer, writer and producer working across film and theatre. He was incredibly excited to be asked to join Georgy Girl- The Seekers Musical (a request he initially turned down as he was far too busy). David is incredibly excited to return to Beaumaris Theatre, where he grew up doing drama classes with wonderful director Debbie at D.K Productions. Previous credits include Dwayne in Little Miss Sunshine (Beaumaris Theatre), William Wills in The Jewel by the Sea (Black Rock House) and Frozen (Babirra).

Meet the cast of Georgy Girl: Sean McBride as Athol Guy

This is Sean’s first show with Beaumaris Theatre, and he is beyond excited to be playing Athol Guy in Georgy Girl – the Seekers Musical.

Sean’s musical journey started at an early age, and he has since become an experienced musician, performer, and multi-instrumentalist with skills in piano, electric bass, upright bass, ukulele and voice. He is also a skilled arranger and composer, having completed his Bachelor of the Music Industry, majoring in Composition, at Box Hill Institute in 2023.

Some of Sean’s musical highlights include performing in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, winning multiple music awards in high school, and receiving his first Lyrebird nomination last year for his role in NOVA’s Chess. Since 2018, Sean has been involved in over 30 productions either as a performer, pit musician or musical director, and has worked with a range of companies including Babirra; CLOC; FabNobs; Followspot Theatre Company; Lightbox Productions Inc; MDMS; NOVA Music Theatre; Phoenix Theatre Company; Waterdale Theatre and Windmill Theatre Company.

His show credit highlights are: &Juliet (Pit Singer); 42nd St (Band); City of Angels (Band Director); Chess (NOVA - Lyrebird Nomination); My Fair Lady (Band); First Date (MD); Brigadoon (Band); Priscilla (AMD); Chess (Pit Singer); Anastasia (Band); Bright Star (Daryl Ames); Tuck Everlasting (Band); Sweeney Todd (Featured Ensemble) and The Wedding Singer (Band).

Meet the cast of Georgy Girl: Stephanie Angelini as Judith Durham

Stephanie is a Melbourne-based singer, performer, actress and vocal coach with over 15 years of experience performing as a soloist and band vocalist at public and private events, including celebrations, dinner dances, restaurants and lifestyle aged care homes.

Alongside her performing career, Stephanie has released original music, travelling to Los Angeles to record her debut album, Life Lessons, and is also the founding director and vocal coach at Angelini Vocal Academy.

After stepping away from musical theatre for several years to focus on her solo music career, pursue film and television acting and start a family, Stephanie returned to the stage in 2025 as Mona Lipschitz and Ensemble in Chicago (Upstage Theatre Company).

She is now thrilled to be starring in the lead role as Judith Durham in Georgy Girl - The Seekers Musical, an absolute dream role of hers and a true honour to bring one of her musical icons to life.

Beaumaris Theatre Inc. is delighted to announce our first show for 2027 will be A Child of Science!

Written by Gareth Farr and directed by Candice Mitrousis, A Child of Science tells the remarkable true story of the creation of IVF.

In 1978, three pioneering doctors changed the world of fertility as we know it. Supported by an army of immensely brave women from all over the UK, Patrick Steptoe, Robert Edwards and Jean Purdy achieved the impossible: they created human life in vitro.

A Child of Science will run from 26 February - 13 March 2027 at Beaumaris Theatre.
