Dance workshops are ongoing with primary schools across Northumberland in preparation for ‘Beacon’, a fantastic multi-school performance which will bring together over one hundred young people at Alnwick Playhouse this June. It's going to be brilliant to see this project evolve over the next few weeks.

SCHOOLS | Northumberland-based artist Rebecca Poremba led two local classes through a Natural Paint Making workshop last week. Students visited her exhibition in the gallery, and then learnt how to make paint from clay, sea coal and elderberry found around Northumberland, before making their own nature-inspired artwork. We were blown away by the children’s talent and enthusiasm!

This workshop is part of Schools Go Free at Alnwick Playhouse - a programme of free activities and free transport for local primary schools to support access to creativity in the Alnwick area.
