Shakespeare by the Sea excites the audience with the wonder of words and the unique joy of live performance, while shedding light on the human condition with the greatest plays in the English language, in great settings, for a great price. Our 82-seat indoor space is The Park Place Theatre, located in the lower parking lot of the park. It is used for indoor performances in the fall/winter/spring, and rainy day shows in the summer.

🙌 We doubled the High Five Club! 🎉

When we launched this campaign in May, the High Five Club had 31 members.

Today, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have 67. That's more than double the size of the club in just a few weeks!

Created by celebrated Nova Scotian artists Dan Bray and Garry Williams, the musical reimagines Beauty and the Beast through the chaotic world of reality game-show television, bringing a modern, comedic edge to the classic “tale as old as time”. Hilarious, modern, and fun for the whole family, this world premiere promises an upROARious night at the theatre.

Why we love our monthly donors 💜

While audiences won't gather in Point Pleasant Park until Opening Night on July 4th, the work of bringing a season to life starts long before the first performance.

Over the past year, shows have been chosen, actors have been contracted, and costumes and sets have now begun to take shape. Many long-term plans come together every spring to bring magic to the park: made possible by patrons like you.

Monthly gifts provide something incredibly important: predictability.
