In 1996 Jonathan Larson took the world by storm with the Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize winning rock musical 𝘙𝘌𝘕𝘛.

Based loosely on Puccini's La Bohème, 𝘙𝘌𝘕𝘛 ran for over 5000 performances on Broadway. The show follows a year in the life of a group of young artists living a bohemian life in New York City's East Village, as they navigate love, poverty, and gentrification under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Full of anthemic rock tunes, heartbreaking ballads, and lyrics that inspired a generation, 𝘙𝘌𝘕𝘛 is a cultural phenomenon you do not want to miss.

When people speak about "theatre magic", this isn't always what they mean...

Lisa and Kimberly first saw RENT together in New York City in 2001. Close childhood friends who grew up together in Cape Breton, time and life pushed them apart. Until fate stepped in, and RENT ended up playing in Halifax, at Neptune Theatre, 25 years later.

But we'll let them tell the story, we think it's pretty special.
