Jobsite is the resident theater company at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the second largest performing arts facility in the country. Winner of scores of Best of the Bay Awards from Creative Loafing, the area's arts and entertainment weekly. We are dedicated to the creation of socially and politically relevant theater and the pursuit of performing it to the broadest possible audience. Jobsite has established and will continue to evolve a like-minded collective, creating a supportive environment where artists of all disciplines may experiment, hone, and apply their skills in a professional laboratory environment. Through all forms of theater – be it experimental, new plays, contemporary works or the classics – Jobsite hopes to inspire their community to become not just consumers, but true citizens.

Annie Wilkes has taken control of our Instagram. This can't be good.

Troy Padraic Brooks has had plenty of downtime during Misery, and, well, the mind wanders. He's thought, gee some of the shorthand we've made for scenes or sequences in the show kinda sound like song/album titles. And so, here are his mockups for fictional releases from Jobsite Records, reimagining Annie as a 40s torch chanteuse, Paul as the lead of a garage rock outfit, and Buster as a Cab Calloway-esque jazz man

Misery is not a musical, we must reiterate, but there's nothing stopping you from leaving the performance imagining possible numbers we could belt out!

Here's a to this time last year and another Stephen King Sp00ky Szn banger! He teamed up with music icon John Mellencamp on GHOST BROTHERS OF DARKLAND COUNTY, and we were lucky enough to be the first professional company in the country to offer the latest re-tooling of this show that's had quite a history and a number of versions. GHOST BROTHERS remains one of the most talked about shows from last season, which was generally stacked with blockbusters like THE SHARK IS BROKEN and GREEN DAY'S AMERICAN IDIOT.
