People are often fascinated by our bulk section, which contains many unusual materials that can be used for crafting, classrooms, and more. We've had a couple videos about the bulk section go viral in the past, so this is a reminder that some "bulk" items are available to purchase in the Creative Reuse online store! This includes VHS tapes, crayons and other writing utensils, sheet music, various design samples, corks, and more.

This is a fantastic option for those that live far away and require shipping, or those that don't have the time or ability to shop in person. We offer free curbside pickup for all online store transactions as well! Not to mention, there are many unseen treasures in the online store. Check it out here: https://creativereuse.square.site/

You can find a more in-depth video tour of the Bulk Section in our Reels/TikToks.

Today we are highlighting the work of Michael Jay Gluckman, an assemblage and collage artist from South Florida. He uses found objects, reclaimed wood, textiles, ephemera, and old picture frames for his artwork. Learn more about his work in his own words:

"All my art is 'assemblage art' made from found objects. Wood, cardboard, ephemera, textiles, metal, natural materials. All are shadowboxed presentations, usually in vintage, second-hand picture frames. I don't create with any meaning or story in mind. My approach is gathering objects or old materials, and arranging them in a pleasing, artistic composition."

We're excited to share that student artists Eleanor Lazarus and Fiona Tandlmayer will be interviewed on the radio show The Saturday Light Brigade this weekend! They will be discussing their artwork showcased in the exhibit.
