“Reeperbahnfestival meets South by Southwest” [PULS] The Nuremberg Pop Festival is southern Germany's largest club and showcase festival.

Concerts are held as part of the festival in various venues such as churches, museums, clothing stores, rooftops and of course music clubs. This unique mix in the picturesque atmosphere of Nuremberg's old town is what makes it so special. The accompanying pop conference offers a wide range of topics related to the music industry and cultural aspects. Nuremberg Pop 2018 joined Keychange, a movement

that supports talented, underrepresented genders with training, mentoring and network support, as well as conferences and presentation opportunities at partner festivals. Nuremberg Pop was awarded the Bavarian Pop Culture Prize in the “Festivals” category in 2019 and nominated several times for the European Music Awards in the categories “Best Small Festival” and “Best Indoor Festival”. Since 2020 Nuremberg Pop has been the German partner festival of the INES Showcase Festival Network, in which 20 European showcase festivals have come together to present young musical talents on their stage and support them to gain a foothold in Europe outside their home country.

The Swiss band SOFT LOFT describes its music as “Indie-Something-Something” and is releasing its
new, long-awaited album, “Throw The Dice,” on September 4th. The first official show of their upcoming European tour - which kicks off with several support shows for ANNENMAYKANNTEREIT - will take place at and promises to be something truly special: SOFT LOFT will perform some of their songs together with the Nuremberg-based community choir INDIEKNEIPECHOR in the magical setting of the „Katharinenruine“. Festival Friday, 7:00 p.m. - a must-see?! ❤️ [Day passes are also available]

The Hannover-based booking and artist consulting agency SPIDER PROMOTION and Nuremberg Pop have been collaborating in various areas for many years and often meet at other European showcase festivals to exchange ideas and brainstorm. Our joint idea for this years edition: to bring the Swedish riot grrrl electro-punk band THE GUILT and the American singer-songwriter LEAH MARLENE to the festival stages - and everyone loves them ❤️ Jan Hagerodth from Spider will also be at our POP CONFERENCE and takes the stage as part of the panel discussion “How to Enter the German Music Market.”

It’s time to say hello to the two nicest, most charming showcase festivals from Sweden. Why? Because we met the organizers of one festival at the other’s event and decided to invite both to NUREMBERG POP as part of some great collaborations. Get ready for the great Viva Sounds, with whom we’re teaming up for the third time to present this year the shoegaze- / dreampop band BOY WITH APPLE from Gothenburg’s vibrant, amazing music scene. And get ready for the great Live at Heart festival from Örebro (between Stockholm and Gothenburg), with whom we’re bringing Manila-born, Sweden-based artist SEIN MACEY to the stage, who blends neo-soul, alternative R&B, and hip-hop into an artful, unique sound!

For several years now, Jens Hold, aka John Steam Jr., has been curating the ONE MIC STAGE at the 'Ultra Comix Gallery' - a truly special venue - as part of the festival, where 10 acts perform live. The technical setup consists - as the name suggests - of a single microphone. Contrary to what one might expect, the lineup features not only singer-songwriters but a wide range of styles, from Country Music to Southern American influences, Indie Rock, and internationally oriented Ekectro Pop. It’s a small stage that’s once again presenting a big lineup this year. With that in mind: a warm welcome to all artists playing this years edition ❤️

We are really happy to present you a joint project with the UKRAINIAN INSTITUTE, who facilitates international connections between people and institutions, and creates opportunities for Ukraine to interact and cooperate with the rest in the world. We met last year at a festival in Spain. That led to a wonderful collaboration, through which we’re bringing the Ukrainian artist MARIA LUI to Nürnberg Pop. Blending expressive vocals, modern jazz harmony, alternative songwriting, and subtle electronic textures, Maria creates immersive live performances built around improvisation and emotional intensity. She is dedicated to developing Ukraine's contemporary cross-genre music scene and creating meaningful connections between the Ukrainian independent scene and the European live music community.

If you’ve always wanted to know how to juggle being a live artist, baking cookies and moderating panels - all while writing some damn good pop songs - then you should check out BROSIE, an Austrian-born artist who now calls Berlin home. We met her last year at a festival in Sweden and don’t want to keep her immense talent from you. She’ll be performing a concert at Hotel Drei Raben Nürnberg on the festival’s Saturday, as well as moderating two sessions at our POP CONFERENCE (“How To Enter The German Music Market", “The SoapGirls - From Major Label To DIY”) ❤️
