In the Band Box: A duo of duos, Ryland and Calor are putting on a show at the Bergy Seltzer. Calor is a Latin style vocal and guitar duo (Freda Paten and Noah James). With added percussion and back-up vocals, they perform heartfelt renditions of popular songs from Brazil to Spain, France to Cuba. Sung in Portuguese, Spanish, French and just a bit of English. Ryland is a guitar duo (Sophie Cox and Noah James), drawing influence from composers such as Julian Lage, Bill Evans and Jim Hall. They perform a mix of originals and covers in styles such as americana, folk, blues and jazz.
