On at 9pm TONIGHT is !!!

David Quested works and makes music through a variety of roles from producer, recording engineer, drummer and songwriter. He has a love for both the experimental and pop sides of music and tries to live somewhere between those two spaces.

David Quested and Ollie Cox are the team behind Spatialive. At the end of September they will be stepping down from this, and while it may not be the end of Spatialive forever - this month sadly marks the end of their involvement. Ollie and David always had planned that their last one would be played by themselves - as both have musical projects that would suit the series. However, as the month approached, the two didn’t feel that that would be the best way to close their chapter of the series. So instead, they will be presenting a very special one off performance. Ollie will be doing the opposite of what he usually does - and will be talking into a microphone for 45 mins, totally unprepared. David will be sharing stats and info on the series. You will have to be there to experience the end of Spatialive as we know it - a Spatialdeath of sorts. Tickets priced accordingly.

First up at 8pm tomorrow night is .ollie !

Ollie Cox is a Melbourne-based composer, drummer and improvisor, who works in the liminal spaces between constructs of sound and music. Drawing in equal measure from his jazz-centric background and love of experimentalism, Cox seeks to craft emotive compositions that flicker between spans of contemplative ambience to frenetic sonic chaos.

This Thursday at 5:30pm, & will be giving a workshop and Q&A on production and songwriting!

Hailing from Melbourne, Theo Carbo is a multi-talented guitarist, composer, engineer, and producer. His exceptional skills in improvised music and guitar expression have led to collaborations with renowned Australian musicians such as Barney Mcall and Sam Anning.
Theo's musical journey has expanded to include experimental composition, studio engineering, and sound production, with recording projects spanning Australia and international locations like Reykjavik and Trondheim. In 2023, he received a classical composition commission for the Canberra International Music Festival and is currently working on an experimental studio album with his band Dragonfruit.
Theo's diverse expertise and innovative approach position him as a dynamic force in the Australian music scene.

Hannah McKittrick is a alternative folk singer/songwriter from Naarm/Melbourne. Her songs are poetic inquiries into loss, intimacy and weathering emotional turbulence. Her music effortlessly weaves together folk song form, ambient atmospheres and smoky whispers of electro-acoustic texture to create immersive worlds for each song to sit in. Equipped with a voice that instantly hushes a room to silence, and an almost reverent sensitivity, to be in the world of Hannah's music is be engulfed by it; anchored only by a sense of deep trust in an artist who is in complete control of her power.

The workshop will be held via Zoom - link in linktree bio closer to the event! 🔗

This week for the penultimate Spatialive winter season set, we have performing!!

Pairing introspective lyrics with layered Sonic Textures, Madi Leeds offers a compelling take on the Indie-Pop genre. Capitalising on this recent run of momentum Madi Leeds recently released her latest single 0-100. A Dreamy Pop given a first play on TOPS (Triple J Unearthed) that sees the artist again highlight her song writing ability with broader instrumentation an even deeper level of personal insight. The personable and playful lyricism invites the listener into Madi’s world. A world that combines glimmering synthesisers and an infectious energy that displays the song writing craft that Madi has accumulated through years of performing and writing.
