Richmond Zine Fest

Richmond Zine Fest is an annual event in Richmond, VA, where zine-makers, indie publishers, and distros gather to buy, sell, trade, and socialize.

This free event attracts 70-100 exhibitors each year and is steadily growing. We're held on either the first or second Saturday of October each year, currently at the Main Branch of the Richmond Public Library. Previous venues have included Firehouse Theater/The Camel (2007), GCCR (2008, 2010-2014), and Gallery 5 (2009).

Tables are set up and waiting for their zinemakers, and I’m still folding the listing for this year’s tablers with the help of my cats!

Reminder: WE ARE NOW AT STUDIO TWO THREE!

Do not go to the library unless it’s to go check out books, but if you’re seeking zine fest, they will not be able to help you.

We’re nearly a week away from Richmond Zine Fest and wanted to shout out / encourage one of the coolest mutual appreciation practices that occurs in the zine community: THE TRADE. In a world where so much is centered around the dollar value, zine trades are about seeing and valuing each other on a different scale. We encourage folks showing up with zines to trade tablers. Please do so respectfully! And if someone communicates a boundary around not trading particular items on their table, move on with kindness. See y’all Saturday October 3rd at Studio Two Three

Y’all saw the sneak peek in our stories, and now it’s official! Richmond Zine Fest’s official shirt designed this year by Shannon Spence are available for pre-sale on the Shop Two Three website. We heard the feedback about needing more sizes and access for our shirts, and we’re excited to be able to promote the shirt before the day of the event. Shirts will still be available for purchase at zine fest on October 3rd. https://www.studiotwothree.org/shop/p/richmond-zine-fest-shirt
