Each season, Modlin Center for the Arts showcases a breadth of diverse multi-disciplinary performing arts from around the globe. Modlin Center also hosts mainstage productions presented by the University of Richmond's Department of Theatre and Dance and music performances by the Department of Music's annual free concert series. Many of the events presented at Modlin foster relational experiences b

etween artists and audiences, and feature academic components designed specifically for University of Richmond students. These activities, which are free and open to the public, include master classes, artist talks and demonstrations, as well as pre-concert and exhibition lectures. The Modlin Center is also home to the Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art, one of the University of Richmond Museums. The museums regularly present exhibitions (of art, artifacts, and natural history specimens), lectures, openings, gallery talks, workshops, concerts, symposia, and other programs. Admission to all museums is free and open to the public.

SPA Trio comes to Modlin in just a week! Today, we're highlighting violist Paul Neubauer.

Paul Neubauer has been praised by The New York Times as a "master musician" and became the principal violist of the New York Philharmonic at the age of 21. He performs widely as a soloist and chamber musician, known for his expressive playing and dynamic performance worldwide.

Neubauer's beautiful tone will be featured throughout the program, but we're particularly excited to hear Francis Casadesus' "Romance Provançale and Danse" for viola and piano.

Susanna Phillips is an acclaimed soprano and a recipient of the Metropolitan Opera's Beverly Sills Artist Award, with a career performing leading roles in major opera houses. Her rich voice and compelling artistry make her a captivating performer.
