OK. These are unusual. They are two 9x12 studio oil on panel paintings from photos around Kanab, Utah. Kanab is the main town approaching Maynard Dixon country from Arizona. Both are painted with the same limited palette I've been using AND with a single 24-inch brush held at the far end, i.e., forced looseness. I'm not sure how good they are, but they ARE loose. And the color is spot on (believe it or not). I call them "Kanab Sand & Sage" (at the entrance to Peekaboo Canyon) and "East of Kanab" (the Mars-scape).
