Jason Christian’s new “Weld Series” brings together blown and sculpted glass in bold, intricately patterned forms that showcase his command of scale, symmetry, color, and technique. A respected figure in the Pacific Northwest glass community, Christian has worked alongside internationally celebrated artists including Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, Preston Singletary, Dan Friday, and Nancy Callan. He has held residencies at the Corning Museum of Glass, Pilchuck Glass School, and the Museum of Glass, and his work is held in notable private collections, including those of Elton John and the Hauberg family.
Rooted in technical exploration yet deeply personal, the “Weld Series” reflects Christian’s surroundings, experiences, and enduring fascination with the expressive potential of glass. “My artwork represents me as a whole,” he explains. Each work unites the precision of a master glassmaker with the individuality of an artist continually pushing his craft forward, offering collectors a distinctive expression of contemporary American studio glass.
