JAM SHED
Originally out of Salem CT, Jam Shed has been jamming together for 10 plus years. Jam Shed was created out of Wednesday night “jam shed” sessions. (Yes, in a literal shed). Chill nights, hangin’ out, getting creative, and learning new favorite reggae dubs with their own twist. Continuously merging their love of reggae dub, improv, and live sound to create a fun funky collaboration of original music and dub covers. Brought together, created/orchestrated by a group of awesome friends who each have a passion for playing and creating ear soothing magic.

Please join us Saturday at 6pm for E Pluribus Venus. This exhibit showcases the overlapping views of five very diverse female artists and offers a vital and dynamic discussion on contemporary femininity, unity, and artistic material. Deliberately rephrasing the Latin phrase “Out of many, one” as the title highlights the exhibition’s central idea: the potent resonance that arises when disparate disciplines come together with Catherine Gibson’s magical fused glass, Serena Bates’s imposing sculptures, Diane Brown’s unexpected wax and oil mixed medium, Heather Lusk’s miniature realism oils, and Kira Seamon’s kaleidoscope and dreamlike photography. The exhibition offers a unique chance to witness a variety of media—from molten glass to monumental bronze to exquisite brushwork. Viewers are encouraged to discover how these distinct artists, each operating under particular material limitations and conceptual frameworks, eventually relate to common human experiences and unity in the Hygienic Gallery setting.
