Ted(tuba) organized a brass quintet of TACO musicians featuring Bob (baritone sax), Andy (baritone), Rhett (trombone), and Boris (euphonium), who performed on the Community Stage at the Los Altos Rotary Fine Art in the Park last weekend!

SVCREATES is proud to award 2026 Unrestricted Operating Grants to 74 organizations—groups that represent the incredible range of diverse disciplines, cultural practices, and programming in Santa Clara County! Thank you for all of the work you do for our arts community!

SVCREATES’ Unrestricted Operating Grants, offered in partnership with the County of Santa Clara, provide general operating support for small and mid-size nonprofit arts and culture organizations that:

🔴 Reflect the dynamic, diverse, and innovative character of Santa Clara County

🔴 Demonstrate commitment to equity, inclusion, and artistic vibrancy and relevance

🔴 Positively impact the County’s cultural ecosystem through active and sustained engagement with audiences, volunteers, and artists

🔴 Pursue organizational sustainability in service to the local community

The Unrestricted Operating Grant is SVCREATES’ longest-running grant program, with funding made possible with support from the County of Santa Clara, California and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

TACO - yes, we know we’re not really “terrible”, and not really a “chamber” group. We are adult musicians gathering once a month to read music for the first time together, with intense focus and having a great time!
