Rooted in tradition and inspired by the beauty of the American West, PaulDykmanArt brings a remarkable sense of light, emotion, and atmosphere to his paintings. Known for his masterful palette knife technique and classical training, Paul captures not only the landscapes he paints but also the feeling they evoke.

Born into a family of accomplished artists in South Africa, Paul developed his passion for painting under the guidance of his father and grandfather. At just thirteen years old, he sold one of his first paintings at an exhibition alongside his father, beginning a lifelong journey in the arts.

After moving to the United States in 1995, Paul eventually made Montana his home, where the breathtaking scenery and rugged beauty of the West continue to inspire his work. His paintings reflect a deep appreciation for the land, bringing its colors, textures, and timeless character to life.

We invite you to discover the artistry of Paul Dykman and experience his extraordinary interpretation of the American West.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Dennis Lyall has built an extraordinary legacy in American art and illustration.

A native of Iowa and graduate of the University of Kansas, Dennis earned early recognition when he was awarded a Gold Medal by the Society of Illustrators while still a student.

Throughout his career, his paintings have been commissioned by some of America’s most prominent advertisers and publishers. He is perhaps especially recognized for his work with the U.S. Postal Service, which has issued 34 postage stamps featuring his designs—placing his artwork in the hands of millions of Americans.

An accomplished portrait artist as well, Dennis’s paintings can be found in private collections, and his dedication to the arts has extended beyond the studio through his service on the Board of Directors of the Society of Illustrators in New York City.

For artist Matt Atkinson , painting the American West is about more than capturing a place—it’s about preserving the people, traditions, and stories that give it meaning.

His traditional realist paintings span the West of yesterday and today, portraying old-time saddle makers, master craftsmen, Native American elders and warriors, and the men and women who continue to carry generations of knowledge forward.

There is also a deeply personal connection woven into every canvas Matt paints.

He still uses brushes and paints inherited from his grandmother, a wise and compassionate elder whose influence remains part of his artistic life. When she passed, brushes beside her easel still held paint, as though waiting for her return. Today, Matt uses those same tools in his own paintings—creating a tangible connection between generations and the heritage that inspires his work.

Matt’s path to becoming a full-time artist has been equally distinctive. His background in the behavioral sciences includes award-winning books on trauma, advanced academic study, teaching, counseling, and years of work alongside Native American communities.

Through his work as a program director, consultant, volunteer chaplain, educator, and cultural and anti-violence trainer, he developed lasting relationships with traditional leaders and elders across the country.

That experience gives his paintings something that goes beyond technical realism.

For more than 50 years, Tyler Saunders has devoted himself to mastering the art of photorealism, creating wildlife paintings that celebrate the beauty, power, and intricate detail of the natural world.

His unwavering commitment to authenticity has led him to invest in professional photography equipment, allowing him to capture many of the reference images that inspire his work. Balancing a full-time career in construction, Tyler also collaborates with some of the world’s most accomplished wildlife photographers to ensure each painting begins with an extraordinary moment in nature.

Every brushstroke reflects decades of patience, discipline, and a profound respect for wildlife—resulting in paintings that invite viewers to pause, look closer, and experience the wild with renewed appreciation.
