On October 7, we remember the lives taken and the lives forever changed. Today, we make space for two artists whose work invites us to remember, and to hold onto hope.
In "Before During Future," Tomer Peretz worked with more than 100 Nova survivors to express their lives before October 7, their experiences that day, and their hopes for the future. Their voices live within the work.
We also honor Inbar Haiman, known as PINK, a graffiti artist and design student who volunteered at Nova and was abducted and murdered. Her imagination, her color, and her love of making art deserve to be remembered.
As we honor the connection between mental health and art this month in my project space, we remember that art cannot undo loss. But it can help us bear witness, keep someone's creativity alive, and make room for healing.
May their memory forever be a blessing.
