Join us this Friday for our June meeting! This will be the last meeting before our summer break.

We will be having our Strawberry festival🍓and enjoy a smörgåsbord of all things strawberry! In addition, we will have a cultural report about midsommar and learn how to dance as little frogs🐸 in preparation to SAC's Midsommar on Saturday!

Join us this Saturday, June 27, 2026 at S.A.C. and Nordic Lodge's Midsommar Festival! This is the largest midsommar festival in the entire state! Lodge members are encouraged to attend and share in the midsommar festivities. This Midsommar is extra special with performances by musicians who have traveled from Sweden!🌼🇸🇪

Glad Midsommar!🌼🇸🇪

The Friday before the summer solstice, Swedes decorate and raise the maypole (majstång), create flower crowns (midsommarkrans or blomsterkrans), and sing, dance, and drink all night long! The celebration last all night into the next day (thank you midnight sun🌞).

This is a joyous celebration of life, friends, and togetherness. Even if you do not know everyone, Midsommar is the one day a year where dancing like a frog is not embarrassing🐸 KUACK KUACK KUACK!

There is an old ledgers that ”if you pick 7 different flowers during the night and place them underneath your pillow, you will hopefully dream of your future love.” So in the spirit of love and the magic of the season: Glad Midsommar and remember ”a life without love is a year without summer!”
