Hello everyone.

I know I've been a little quite on the Festival socials over the last couple of weeks, thank you to those who have reached out knowing that's unusual and checked in to make sure that I'm okay.

All is well with me here, I've just taken a bit of a side-step to focus on other areas of my life and work which do get neglected when one of our events comes around.

So instead of the usual drip feed of post-event content that I usually create, I'd like to share this multi-image post featuring some of the amazing vendors we welcomed this year.

I'm going to take a pause from posting on this account now until I'm ready to begin sharing what we have planned for our next Scottish Wool Producers Showcase in March. During this time I'm going to focus on my wool brand, The Scottish Wool Company. In the 3 years since it's launch it's never had my undivided love and attention, and it truly does deserve that from me.

In the meantime, you can find our wool brand on Instagram at , and I've set up a Ravelry group called The Scottish Wool Company which you are welcome to join. We even have our own Wool Club starting in January with registration opening soon!

We were saddened that Lammermuir Wool had to pull out of the weekend at the 11th hour. Although Suzie wasn't there in person, she was very much there in spirit in the form of these two wonderful garments.

This weekend saw the 11th Scottish Yarn Festival take place.

My thanks go to all the following in no particular order: Perth & Kinross Council for use of their building; our epic volunteers Jo, Lesley, Fiona, Pomme, Calum, Chloe, and Brett; all our amazing vendors who travelled the length and breadth of the UK to gather in Perth; Jonny at GS Group for getting all our insurance in place; Forth Crossing Security; Cheryl for logistical support; Makero Wristbands; our ticket agents WeGotTickets.com; all the local yarn stores who kindly offered to distribute flyers; my friends for their love and emotional support.

Last but not least, my thanks go to every single one of you who joined our celebration. You travelled from across the UK, including our beautiful islands, and from many countries including New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Switzerland, and Germany. We wouldn't be The Scottish Yarn Festival without every single one of you.

One of our favourite moments of the Festival this year was seeing this incredible dress made using the 2024 advent calendar created by KalokShekEllen

Our next celebration is the Scottish Wool Producers Showcase on 20 March 2027 which will be held in the Civic Hall & Council Chambers, Perth.
