The Watson Players

We are based in Derby and perform award winning productions of both pantomime and play annually.

Last Thursday we held our AGM and presentations made -
Gina Repton received The Patricia Hartshorn Award for Outstanding Achievement 🌟
Georgia Barkes received The Ben Woolley Young Persons Award 🌟 and also The Fay Hinchcliffe Glass Slipper Award 🌟
Bob Rodgers was made Hon Vice President for over 50 years serving on Committee.
Finally we were delighted to welcome our NODA Rep Adam Collishaw to present 10 year award to Lauren Wells.
It was a wonderful evening to be able to chat to friends afterwards rather than it be a rehearsal night. Rehearsals resume next Tuesday 😉 have you booked your tickets yet?

We were so humbled but proud to receive an award at The Derbyshire Freemasons Community Awards 2026 on Friday evening. There were 17 other very worthy recipients from the whole of Derbyshire, such wonderful work being done in our communities thank you Hartington Lodge 1085 for the nomination and your continuing support.

It's throw back Thursday.
Little did we realise that Rapunzel would be our last pantomime to be performed at The Guildhall Theatre in 2018 - How lucky are we to have found the theatre at Landau Forte and so still be able to perform in Derby.
's never too early to book for our next pantomime😜

Due to our talented dancers/ensemble gaining places in University / College and new job roles away from Derby we find that we have vacancies in our dancing / ensemble. Do you think you could be that person to fill the space/s?
If you are over 16 we would welcome you to join our multi award winning team. We are a friendly bunch, why not pop in on Tuesday (rehearsals are 7:30 - 9:30) at Spondon Methodist Church Hall Lodge Lane Derby DE21 7GF. or message on here for further details.
