Cape Breton’s Slowcoaster have been getting crowds on their feet for more than two decades with their unmistakable blend of rock, reggae, funk, ska and groove-driven jams. Known for infectious songs and high-energy live shows, the trio has toured extensively across Canada and earned a reputation as one of the East Coast’s most enduring live bands. Their more recent releases include the 2023 album Where Are They Going and Apples & Oranges.
Big Name Actors are an energetic alt-rock band known for their hook-heavy sound, raw emotion, and dynamic live performances. Blending punchy guitar riffs with melodic vocals and a touch of nostalgia, their music bridges the gap between modern indie rock and the golden age of 2000s alternative.
Indie-folk singer-songwriter Pat Walsh has been performing his distinctive brand of thoughtful, introspective songs throughout Pictou County for over a decade. His songwriting explores inner growth, human connection, and the things he recognizes both within himself and in the people around him. Often wrapped in metaphor, his songs blur the line between lived experience and something more symbolic, leaving the listener to decide what’s real and what lies beneath the surface.
With a long-awaited debut album currently in the works at Shoebox Studios, this is a chance to hear the songs that will shape Pat Walsh’s upcoming debut.
