To my clients, friends, and community:
I have remained largely silent regarding recent events surrounding a former apprentice who is no longer associated with Luna Ink. The time has come for me to address the issue.
Unfortunately, a number of allegations, rumours, and negative statements have circulated online and within the community over the past several weeks. These statements have affected both my business/professional and personal life.
While I will not engage in a public back-and-forth, I feel it is important to clarify a few things:
• The individual is no longer affiliated with Luna Ink.
• Personal and professional property belonging to them has been returned
• I have never wished them harm and have no interest in continuing any form of public dispute.
• I strongly dispute many of the allegations that have been made against me and my business.
All that being said I do wish my former apprentice all the best in their endeavors and thank them for their contribution while with my studio. Endings can be difficult and unfortunately sometimes they can also become very messy.
I have spent 18 years building my reputation, my career, and specifically Luna Ink for the last 2 yrs. My studio is not just a place to work, it is my second home, a place I worked my tail off to both create and grow. Luna Ink is a safe, clean, comfortable and welcoming space that I am very proud to share with all of my clients.
Anyone who has worked with me, been tattooed or pierced by me, or supported my business knows the level of care, professionalism, and dedication I bring to what I do.
Prior to this situation my studio had over 200, 5 star reviews across social media which does not happen overnight, and rest assured that the same level of service that earned Luna Ink those reviews is exactly what will continue to be offered in my studio.
At this point, I am choosing to focus my energy on my clients, my work (Tattooing/Piercing), and moving forward. I will continue to push myself as an artist thus expanding my skillset. I will also be posting some fun new ideas I have been working on throughout the rest of the summer!
Luna Ink remains open (this is our 2nd year anniversary week), and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has continued to support me through a very difficult time. I look forward to the next 2 plus years and having the privilege of helping to bring all of my amazing client's ideas to life.
Thank you to those who have reached out with kindness, encouragement, and understanding. It has meant more than you know.
