Are you curious about stand-up comedy? Are you mixing up your callbacks with your crowdwork, confusing a runner with running the light? When someone mentions a tag, do you ask who's it? Before you start wondering about the state of your tight five, don't worry, help is at hand!

On Saturday, March 21 at 3 pm at the New Glasgow Library, it's My Mom Thinks I'm Funny, A Stand-up Comedy Workshop presented by Comedy at the Square host James Keast.

Topics covered will include different types of comedy, writing jokes, getting on stage, "the line" and more! Featuring special guests from the Pictou County comedy community.

This is an event for grown-ups; the library is taking registrations by phone - 902-750-8233 - so that's immediately going to eliminate anyone under the age of 35.

It's our anniversary, and it's time to PARTY!

Comedy at the Square - and its previous incarnation, Comedy at the Monarch - is celebrating its Third Anniversary on Friday March 20 at Glasgow Square Theatre and boy do we have a killer lineup for it.

DAN HENDRICKEN is coming to headline our show! One of the funniest comics in the country, originally from PEI, Dan has performed across the country at major comedy festivals, and been heard all over CTV and CBC.

Dan will be joined by Halifax comedian Sara Graham, Moncton imports Jeff Pinnell and Lynn Solange, and more!

The show is FREE! Cash donations are taken at the door to support a charity chosen by this month's headliner.

Free comedy show alert! On Friday, February 13, Comedy at the Square presents Travis Lindsay and Liam Godson!

Travis Lindsay's name might seem familiar to you: he was a finalist on the 2024 season of Canada's Got Talent, and is a former writer and performer for This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

Liam Godson recently won the 2026 Hubcap Comedy Fest's Open Mic competition.

They will be joined by Nick Stewart, Evan Mumford and Ray Burns; the show is hosted by James Keast. Cash donations will be taken at the door to support the Pictou County Food Bank. 7:30 showtime. Seating is limited - email [email protected] to reserve your spot!
