Coming this Thursday July 30 to Blue Lobster in Stellarton, it's Laugh Track comedy - this time outside (we think, weather and enthusiasm depending, we're pretty confident it'll be outside - no let's say it definitely will be, positive thoughts everyone).

This free show also features more comedians than you can shake a stick at! (Sticks are not provided.) Maddie Arsenault is coming from Halifax to close out the night; she's joined by fellow traveller Allison Walsh as well as Kevin Johnson, Bradley Ball, Matt McGlashan, Ray Burns, Rob Green, Luke Burns, Brett Hooten - jeez how many comics are on this thing?

It all kicks off at 8 pm (comedy time, so 8:10 or so) outdoors at Blue Lobster in Stellarton, brought to you by your host Markus Spodzieja (and he's gonna tell jokes too, so that's another comedian on the show - this is really a lot of comedy value for a free show).

Comedy at the Square is proud to present another fantastic night of stand-up comedy on Friday June 19 at 7:30 pm at Glasgow Square Theatre! And as always, the show is free!

(Cash donations are taken at the door for charity; a donation is not required to come enjoy the show.)

Catherine Robertson is our headliner - she's been a staple of the comedy scene in the Maritimes for almost 20 years! She's appeared several times at the Halifax Comedy Festival and her weekly comedy show at Bearly's in Halifax recently celebrated its 16 year anniversary! (16 years. Every week. Putting up with comics. Astounding.)

Joining us as well is Roz Kennery; a part-time comedian and full-time trans woman, Roz has been burning up the comedy scene with her deadpan wit and hilarious anecdotes. She's performed at Yuk Yuks, Halifax Live, and recently headlined Commune Comedy Night in Truro.

They'll be joined by Luke Burns, Jeff Pinnell and Ray Burns too! As always, James Keast is hosting the evening.

Are you curious about stand-up comedy? Are you mixing up your callbacks with your crowdwork, confusing a runner with running the light? When someone mentions a tag, do you ask who's it? Before you start wondering about the state of your tight five, don't worry, help is at hand!

On Saturday, March 21 at 3 pm at the New Glasgow Library, it's My Mom Thinks I'm Funny, A Stand-up Comedy Workshop presented by Comedy at the Square host James Keast.

Topics covered will include different types of comedy, writing jokes, getting on stage, "the line" and more! Featuring special guests from the Pictou County comedy community.

This is an event for grown-ups; the library is taking registrations by phone - 902-750-8233 - so that's immediately going to eliminate anyone under the age of 35.

It's our anniversary, and it's time to PARTY!

Comedy at the Square - and its previous incarnation, Comedy at the Monarch - is celebrating its Third Anniversary on Friday March 20 at Glasgow Square Theatre and boy do we have a killer lineup for it.

DAN HENDRICKEN is coming to headline our show! One of the funniest comics in the country, originally from PEI, Dan has performed across the country at major comedy festivals, and been heard all over CTV and CBC.

Dan will be joined by Halifax comedian Sara Graham, Moncton imports Jeff Pinnell and Lynn Solange, and more!

The show is FREE! Cash donations are taken at the door to support a charity chosen by this month's headliner.
