Pictou County Comedy Night is a place to find local shows with local people and more!

Looking for a laugh - or to try to make one happen? Why not swing by Open Mic Comedy at Mordoors on Provost St. in New Glasgow?

It's a great spot for a b**r, and to watch some local comics gamely struggle through what they hope are new jokes. It's also a super chill environment to get up and try it for yourself! Every other Wednesday: August 5 and 19 and September 2 coming up. Why not strike something off your bucket list?

Coming this Thursday July 30 to Blue Lobster in Stellarton, it's Laugh Track comedy - this time outside (we think, weather and enthusiasm depending, we're pretty confident it'll be outside - no let's say it definitely will be, positive thoughts everyone).

This free show also features more comedians than you can shake a stick at! (Sticks are not provided.) Maddie Arsenault is coming from Halifax to close out the night; she's joined by fellow traveller Allison Walsh as well as Kevin Johnson, Bradley Ball, Matt McGlashan, Ray Burns, Rob Green, Luke Burns, Brett Hooten - jeez how many comics are on this thing?

It all kicks off at 8 pm (comedy time, so 8:10 or so) outdoors at Blue Lobster in Stellarton, brought to you by your host Markus Spodzieja (and he's gonna tell jokes too, so that's another comedian on the show - this is really a lot of comedy value for a free show).

(Please don't bring your own stick.)

Comedy at the Square is proud to present another fantastic night of stand-up comedy on Friday June 19 at 7:30 pm at Glasgow Square Theatre! And as always, the show is free!

(Cash donations are taken at the door for charity; a donation is not required to come enjoy the show.)

Catherine Robertson is our headliner - she's been a staple of the comedy scene in the Maritimes for almost 20 years! She's appeared several times at the Halifax Comedy Festival and her weekly comedy show at Bearly's in Halifax recently celebrated its 16 year anniversary! (16 years. Every week. Putting up with comics. Astounding.)

Joining us as well is Roz Kennery; a part-time comedian and full-time trans woman, Roz has been burning up the comedy scene with her deadpan wit and hilarious anecdotes. She's performed at Yuk Yuks, Halifax Live, and recently headlined Commune Comedy Night in Truro.

They'll be joined by Luke Burns, Jeff Pinnell and Ray Burns too! As always, James Keast is hosting the evening.

Seating is limited and these shows do fill up - please email [email protected] to reserve your seat, or just message us here! This will be the last show before a summer break - you don't want to miss it!

Open mic comedy is back in Pictou County! Starting Wednesday June 3 at Mordoors comes a chill space to hang out, meet some funny people, maybe tell some jokes (maybe not), have a drink and a bite, etc. More details as this evolves...

Comedy at the Square brings another great show to the little room at the back!

Sharon McCormack is headlining the show - she's a two-time nominee for Favourite Local Comic in Halifax's The Coast. She's joined by another Halifax favourite, up-and-comer Maddie Arsenault.
