Halifax Pride Festival July 14-24, 2022
The Halifax Pride Society is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to producing a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Pansexual, Queer, Questioning, Two-Spirit, and Asexual (LGBTTIPQQ2SA+; herein referred to as 2SLGBTQ+) Pride Festival. PURPOSE: To create spaces for persons of diverse sexual and gender identities to come together
and flourish. GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
Community: a sense of belonging and connection. Self-expression: being one's true authentic self without fear or judgement. Growth: continually unlearning oppressive social constructs and structures to reimagine and rebuild a system that will champion all voices. The Halifax Pride Festival is a celebration which draws in more than 120,000 participants and one of Canada's premier pride celebrations. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
On our page, we welcome and encourage differing opinions but ask that users respect the community and its individual members. We will do our best to keep these pages appropriate but reserve the right to remove content if posts contain any of the following:
- Anything that is discriminatory, sexually explicit, obscene, libellous, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive or hateful
- Anything that is embarrassing or offensive to another person or entity
- Fraudulent, deceptive or misleading material
- Any materials that constitute spam or sends people to competitor sites
