You know our homegirl AKILA🖤 – a proud Kamilaroi/Wiradjuri R&B singer-songwriter and rapper?

Well, AKILA is carving out her own lane as an emerging force in music, steadily stepping onto bigger stages and larger audiences like the recent Parramatta Lanes.

With 3 official singles under her belt, all released in 2025 through our friends Xelon Digital, and having shared the stage with some of the heavyweights from Kobie Dee, Barkaa and more: there's a new chapter, a bold new sound, but the same uncompromising voice coming soon!

Keep your eyes (and ears) on the look out in the coming weeks – she’s just getting started, with some things cooking in the background. 🎯 🎤🔥

Catch her performing live at the Nakama Arts / NKA Recordings Release Party on Friday, Dec 11 at Waywards Ballroom alongside Kobie Dee Tasman T1LL0W Kashana Briscoe (Wallace), and many more!

📍 Where: Waywards Ballroom, Newtown (Level 2, The Bank Hotel)

⏰ When: Friday, Dec 11 | Doors 6:00 PM

🎫 Tickets: Link in bio / Moshtix ($10–$25)

🔥 OUT NOW: "OH S**T" BY Kashana Briscoe (Wallace) 🔥

An absolute anthem for anyone who’s ever had to choose themselves. ✨

Shani’s sophomore single drops raw, honest lyrics over a 2000s R&B beat (prod. by Tommy Young). It’s all about reaching your breaking point, letting go of everyone else’s weight, and stepping into your own power. 💪✨

Culture, resilience, and pure talent – Shani is here to stay. There’s more in store, so keep a lookout!

Expect more from founders
JW👣 , Tbone💛 and Alex Sustenance Clarke!

They’re once again taking the stage at Nakama Arts’ End of Year Release Party at Waywards! 🚨 They’ll be performing alongside heavyweights like Kobie Dee , Tasman , SHANI ☆ , Akilaqui | Artist 🖤 T1LL0W , and many more!

: SHANI ☆'s new single is dropping 21.10.26!

🎧 "OH S**T" (prod. by Tommy Young) is a raw, relatable hit wrapped in a cheeky 2000s R&B groove. It’s all about the breaking point of being everyone else's rock while carrying your own load—and finally choosing yourself. Fresh off touring with the briscoesisters and debuting her first track “Yalanji Girl,” Shani is stepping into greater confidence on and off stage. And we're here for it!

📆 See Shani perform at Nakama Arts' end-of-year release party in December! Head to www.nakama-arts.com.au for more information!
