📢 VACANCY: CRAFT TEACHER / FACILITATOR (PRODUCT SPECIALIST)
📍 Knysna and Surrounding Areas | Western Cape
The Western Cape Arts Festivals (WCAF), in partnership with Ariva Arts Foundation and funded by the National Lotteries Commission (NLC), invites suitably qualified and experienced craft practitioners to apply for the position of Craft Teacher / Facilitator (Product Specialist) for the African Indigenous Renaissance (AIR) Project in Knysna.
We are looking for passionate creatives with expertise in traditional crafts, cultural heritage, craft design and product development, who can share their knowledge and skills with emerging artists and creatives.
🔹 AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Applicants should have relevant knowledge and experience in:
• African crafts.
• Traditional craft techniques, cultural art forms and indigenous knowledge.
• Craft design and the creation of locally inspired handmade products.
• Product development, including improving the design, quality and marketability of craft products.
• Teaching, mentoring or facilitating practical craft workshops.
📍 LOCATION REQUIREMENT
Applicants must currently reside in Knysna or elsewhere in the Garden Route, Western Cape.

January – April 2027
