The 125th Paarl Boxing Day Track Cycling event was held this year and I was fortunate enough to be there.. This event always has the best spirit in the stands and on the track! Here are some pics and more to come.

'If you want wonderful photos', a friend said, 'then Gerickes [Point on Swartvlei beach] never disappoints.' Rugged cliffs, amazing rock formations, rock pools, and fishermen. I love this image because it combines so much of what the Garden Route is all about - the blue, misty Outeniqua Mountains in the distance, the sea cliffs marching off towards Kleinkrans and Wilderness, and the sea.

Red-knobbed coots are Jekyll and Hyde kind of birds. One moment serenely gliding across the water and then they're into a mad dash. I was quietly photographing sunsets the other day when this character came by - first serene then crazy! I love that reflection in the last pic - something out of a Disney cartoon?

What a thrill to see a huge canvas of one of my photos on a client's wall! 1.43m x 1m of wall art that the client had framed with a shadow-gapped box frame. Stunning.
