Did you miss us!?

We can't believe summer is winding down, but that means we're back for our 2026-2027 season!

We'll be at the theater this Saturday morning (8/29) to kick off build days for our first show, Noises Off.

This is going to be a massive set, so this week will be mostly prep work! We'll be clearing the stage, sorting through the workshop, and starting to build platforms.

Many hands make light work! Build starts at 10am.

Four plays. Four directors. Plenty of laughs, surprises, complicated relationships, and people making questionable decisions.

In other words, another season at Acme Theater!

We kick off our 2026-2027 lineup with Noises Off by Michael Frayn, directed by David Fisher, running October 31-November 14, 2026. It’s a play about a theater company trying to put on a play. What could possibly go wrong? (Pretty much everything.) Tickets now available in our online box office at www.ticketstage.com/T/ACMETP, or by calling 978-823-0003.

Next up is Significant Other by Joshua Harmon, directed by Valerie von Rosenvinge, running January 22-February 6, 2027. It’s funny, honest, and occasionally painful as Jordan tries to navigate dating, friendship, and the fact that everyone around him seems to be finding "the one".

Spring brings Perfect Arrangement by Topher Payne, directed by Kevin Nessman, running April 9-24, 2027. Set in 1950s Washington, D.C., two couples have a perfectly sensible plan for keeping their relationships secret. Naturally, that plan goes spectacularly off the rails.

We close the season with The Found Dog Ribbon Dance by Dominic Finocchiaro, directed by Tom Berry, running June 11-26, 2027. A lost dog brings three very different people together in a funny, quirky, and unexpectedly touching story about connection and second chances.

📕 Story: It is the final technical rehearsal before the opening of a riotous British s*x comedy farce called ‘Nothing On’, but unfortunately for the production (and the director, the actors, the tech crew)… things are not exactly going as well as one might hope. Everyone’s nerves are on a razor’s edge as they all try to muddle through late at night in preparation for the curtain rise the next day. Then in Acts 2 & 3, we get to see the results of a comedy farce that did not have the proper rehearsal time and the tensions the build between cast and crew as they just try to get this darned play up on its feet and out the door.
