As much as it is a performance venue it also focuses heavily on artist development and has been a launching pad for several local bands into the national spotlight. Six bands have signed major label record deals between 2006-2016 including Grammy winning Imagine Dragons, platinum selling Neon Trees, The Moth & The Flame, The Aces, Fictionist and others. Whether you are a veteran musician who just wants to try out new material, a young artist that has never stepped foot on stage before, or just a music loving spectator, you won't want to miss Utah's most popular open-mic night! Sign up is first come first serve when doors open at 8pm and each performer plays two songs. Note: Line to guarantee a time slot usually forms around 7pm!

Elemental “Reunion Show / 20 Year Anniversary”
After a long hiatus, this SLC art-rock band will be reuniting and celebrating the twenty year anniversary of the band’s formation!
Joining Elemental will be Power House, Josh Doss & the Silver Dollar Band, and Fae Suvius.
7:30pm. $10 Advance / $13 Door

Cinnamon Brown & The Eskimos “Reunion Show”
We are going even further back for this reunion! Cinnamon Brown & The Eskimos was a prominent Logan band in the 1990s Utah music scene. They will be reuniting for one night only so come get nostalgic and enjoy their signature funky folk-rock sound! Joining them will be current young buzz band Saemore, who also hails from the city way up North!

We want to apologize to all the bands that submitted for our Summer Battle of the Bands and were anxiously awaiting our promised invite emails on Friday... Unfortunately with our Les Femmes festival getting pushed to May this year, multiple big touring band shows last week, and continued Fork Fest prep, we weren’t able to listen through the 70+ submissions in time to make that deadline. We are now realistically trying to make selections, and send out email invites by end of day Wednesday 6/3. Sorry for the delay. We are excited to jump into this complicated, time consuming, yet fulfilling band puzzle!

Tyler Ramsey is a singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his evocative, genre-blending sound that fuses modern folk, rock, and alternative influences. Based outside of Asheville, North Carolina, Ramsey gained recognition as a key member of Band of Horses, contributing to their soaring indie-folk sound across three studio albums, each of which included Ramsey originals including Grammy-nominated "Infinite Arms" (2010).
As a songwriter and guitarist, his intricate playing and introspective lyricism became a defining element of the band's music. With masterful guitar work and a gift for storytelling, Tyler Ramsey continues to carve out his own space in the world of folk and indie rock.

This is always a sad moment when the Les Femmes decorations come down, but before we shift to some great touring bands this week and look forward to Fork Fest and Battle of the Bands in June, we wanted to take one last look at all the talented ladies who played our annual "Les Femmes De Velour" shows this month! We started this event 16 years ago as just a one weekend event, and in 2026 it featured 11 shows and 40+ bands/artists! Thank you to everyone who performed, and attended, for helping grow this amazing festival. We look forward to seeing all of these artists on different shows throughout the year! --Corey Fox

Bug Hunter and The Narcissist Cookbook are bringing their show back on the road in 2026, playing their solo material as well a selection of songs from their hit songwriting podcast, Jam Mechanics. Bug Hunter has the very unique skill of being able to put a lifetime of experiences in a single song. There is also a very rare quality where even the most painful lyrics manage to have a silver lining or hope within their theme. Every song has a story, and every story has something profound to pull from it. Every single album and song is an entire rush of words that manage to perfectly capture so many specific emotions and moments in time. There is such a rare quality in the writing, and I’ve yet to find another artist that I can fully compare to Bug Hunter. The Narcissist Cookbook uses five-rounds-rapid storytelling and powerful songwriting as a siege weapon trained on the barker between the stage and the audience. We are very excited for Tyler Ramsey to make his Velour debut this Friday May 29th! "LES FEMMES DE VELOUR" NIGHT #11 / LITTLE MOON (SAT 5/23)
Although it’s sad to see our 2026 “Les Femmes De Velour” come to an end, we feel lucky to have an artist like Little Moon cap of this year’s festival, which has featured 11 amazing nights of music and 40+ bands/artists!
Little Moon has been one of the biggest local music success stories of the past three years! After the band won the prestigious "NPR Tiny Desk Concert Contest" out of 6,000+ submissions, they proceeded to jump right into a nationwide tour, and an onslaught of attention from labels, management, and agents, eventually signing with the prestigious Joyful Noise Recordings!
Despite all the complicated moving parts that comes along with national success, We love that Emma always tries to make sure that she can be a part of this festival, and continues to support and encourage all the younger up & coming performers. We love Emma and her band and are grateful to have them grace the stage again this year! Joining Little Moon will be veteran dream-pop band Goldmyth, coming back from a far too long extended hiatus, and talented new singer-songwriter Ida Grey. Don’t miss this night of magical indie folk-rock. Hurry and get your tickets!

"LES FEMMES DE VELOUR" NIGHT #10 (Fri 5/22)
We are down to our last two shows of this year’s edition of Les Femmes De Velour! As you know, Les Femmes is an annual multi-day (11 day/40+ artist) festival, celebrating our talented Female & Femme-Identifying artists in the Utah music scene!
We’ve featured rock, pop, soul, folk and tonight we bring in a little whimsy… both light and heavy. Cherish DeGraaf is long time supporter of Velour, so we were happy when stars aligned for her to headline tonight as part of her “EP Release”! Joining Cherish will be our friend Emjay Hink bringing in her brand of cottage-core (aka sometimes the maiden in the cottage sings pretty ballads with flowers and mushrooms, and sometimes she throws pop-punk house shows!). Also playing is singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and music scene icon Bly Wallentine who will be doing double duty this weekend, also playing in Little Moon tomorrow! And last but not least, we are excited to have Sarah June play again this year. Sarah has been living in Arizona where she took our Les Femmes concept and created “Femmes of Phoenix” which couldn’t make us more proud. If you look in the shadows tonight you will also probably see her mysterious, proud papa, Karl Strange...

"LES FEMMES DE VELOUR" NIGHT #9 (Thurs 5/21)
Only three shows left for this year’s edition of Les Femmes De Velour! Tuesday’s show was full of soul-pop power houses, tonight we are going to get a little rootsy… Tonight’s headliner, Saemore has been creating buzz over the last year with a great new album (Produced by Kyle Henderson of Desert Noises) and some memorable performances. It seems inaccurate to call them country… I’d say Indie-western.! Also playing will be Lunar Spirit, bringing down their brand of whimsical indie/folk-pop, Velour family member Mia Grace, who holds the record for playing the most Les Femmes shows of any artist in the festival’s history… Eleven! We are excited for a rare full band performance by her! And opening up tonight will be reclusive SLC singer-songwriter Kelli Moyle… It’s always a pleasure when we can get her on the stage. Dust off your inner cowgirl/boy and get your tickets!
