As much as it is a performance venue it also focuses heavily on artist development and has been a launching pad for several local bands into the national spotlight. Six bands have signed major label record deals between 2006-2016 including Grammy winning Imagine Dragons, platinum selling Neon Trees, The Moth & The Flame, The Aces, Fictionist and others. Whether you are a veteran musician who just wants to try out new material, a young artist that has never stepped foot on stage before, or just a music loving spectator, you won't want to miss Utah's most popular open-mic night! Sign up is first come first serve when doors open at 8pm and each performer plays two songs. Note: Line to guarantee a time slot usually forms around 7pm!

Note: If you are a new musician in town, this is a great way to get your foot in the door at Velour and the local music scene!

Ferrin is another past Velour Battle of the Bands winner! Come celebrate their long awaited album release, unique songwriting, and Indie-Jazz flavor! If that wasn’t enough to excite you, beloved post-punk band Searching For Celia will be returning from a several year hiatus to rock you with their ethereal sound. Opening will be Cactus Tree, one of the many talented folk influenced bands to emerge out of Logan music scene.

As a continuation of Velour’s 20 Year Anniversary celebration, we are officially partnering with The Rooftop Concert Series to bring The Aces back to Provo! These talented ladies have been playing the Velour stage since they were 14-15 years old, and we couldn’t be more proud of their successful career on the national and international stage! They will be joined by an all-star lineup featuring 2023 NPR Tiny Desk contest winner and fellow touring artist Little Moon, along with popular dream-pop act Goldmyth.
Come be one of the thousands in attendance to celebrate these amazing bands, this special music scene, and 20 years of Velour!

Velour has had a long working relationship with the Rooftop Concert Series but we are making it official for this Friday’s concert as we officially team up to bring The Aces back to Provo to celebrate their international success and Velour’s 20 year Anniversary!!! We’ve been in talks with The Aces for months about doing some kind of secret show as part of the anniversary, and finally stars aligned to bring them back on a much larger scale so the whole community can enjoy these hometown heroes! The Aces will be joined by NPR Tiny Desk contest winner Little Moon, and veteran dream-pop band Goldmyth (Note: All former headliners of Velour’s popular, annual Les Femmes De Velour Festival!). Come be one of the thousands in attendance to celebrate our amazing music community! 🪩

Due to a couple unexpected cancellations-
We are looking for promoters or bands who can put together a solid 3-4 band lineup that can (ideally) collectively draw 100+ people on the short notice!

They/Them De Velour is an annual celebration of all nonbinary artists in the local music community. It’s also a celebration of our long time sound engineer, Fern’s Birthday! The night will feature live music from:

This concert is FREE and draws thousands of people! It happens once a month on Center street at the Nuskin Plaza. Don't miss it, and bring the whole family!

"NEW BAND SHOWCASES" THURS AUG 6,13,20,27!!!

If you are a new band (or an established band) that has NEVER played Velour before, these showcases are meant for you!

Please email [email protected] ASAP with the subject line “August New Band Showcase” (Note: This is not our normal booking email, It’s a dedicated email being used for this specific event). DO NOT MESSAGE OUR DM's- THOSE ARE NOT MONITORED FOR BOOKING INQUIRIES.

🚨With your email, please include the following:
1. Links to social media pages, online music, and relevant Youtube videos.
2. A brief band description (music genre, what city you're from, etc).
3. Band contact name and phone number.

Velour is a very curated venue, which is one reason why we've had so many successful bands develop on our stage, but also why it can be hard for new bands to get their first show...
In addition to our two annual Battle of the Bands competitions in June and December, we host "New Band Showcases" every Thursday in March and August!

Note: Although this isn't a Battle of the Bands competition, we will still use these showcases to evaluate band performance, professionalism, promotional work ethic, and crowd draw (Must be able to draw a minimum of 20 people, but of course a bigger draw will prioritize you for future booking). Also, although we will only be able to showcase 16 bands in Aug, we frequently pull from the other submissions to book future showcases and for other opening opportunities. 🎉
