We don’t take for granted the support of local media outlets and journalists who amplify local artists and arts organizations, especially when those who tell the stories we need to hear are increasingly silenced through funding cuts and shifting political priorities.

Local professional theater not only employs the skilled artists, technicians, and craftspeople who bring our stories to life, but it creates an increasingly rare necessity: live, shared experiences of human connection that exist outside our screens.

Thirty years after it was first performed — with Meryl Streep in the title role — this story finally finds its home on our stage.

We were so excited to join Chuck Long at News Channel 5 for Out And About Today to celebrate our 30th birthday and talk about our upcoming production of HONOUR.

This one is special for a lot of reasons: Not only did playwright Joanna Murray-Smith publish HONOUR in 1995 - the same year we opened our doors as Nashville's only Meisner acting school and theater, but this production sees our very own Vali Forrister return to the stage, directed by master Meisner instructor and guest artist, Lori Triolo.
