Actors! Writers!
It’s Summer Greenhouse Time!
This Wednesday (tomorrow?!?) 7/15
Join us for an evening of glistening scripts and glowing performances!
Riverside Commons
(Formerly Memorial Lutheran Church)
1211 Riverside Dr
Nashville, TN 37206
We’ll be meeting from 7:00-9:00 in the downstairs fellowship hall.
There’s plenty of free parking in the lot.
Enter through the side door down the ramp.
Actors
Bring yourself and be ready to jump up and do a bold cold read of these new works.
(You may be asked to read parts that do not fit your description and that’s the fun part!)
Writers!
Bring 9 Pages of something you’re working on and enough copies for actors to read from.
Oh, Hey.
Let’s talk about that 9-page limit.
Like, how many pages is that, exactly?
We’ve always had a “9 Page” script limit at Greenhouse.
The original intent with this limitation is that your pages should take about 10-15 minutes to read.
We always want to stay flexible with formatting, presentation, and timing.
But 12-point Courier is pretty good.
Double-spacing between roles and stage directions is pretty good.
There are lots of templates, guides, and apps for “industry standard” scriptwriting.
Find something that works for you!
I’m not gonna check your font-size or time anybody’s reading. Just be mindful.
Everyone: Bring anybody you think would love this.
You do not have to participate to be in the room. All are welcome.
