When Kate and John Richardson opened InDo back in 2015, they had one stubborn conviction: where you work shapes what you create. A city built on music, storytelling, and independent spirit deserved a workspace that felt like Nashville. Not a corporate lease with beige carpet and fluorescent buzz.

So they built one. Eleven thousand square feet in the heart of SoBro, with a curtain of vinyl hanging overhead like a quiet reminder of who came before us. Every label, every scratched groove, every B-side up there belongs to someone who cared deeply about their craft.

Ever felt like your creativity was being stifled by soul-sucking beige cubicles?

That’s exactly where the story of InDo Nashville begins. Our co-founder, Kate Richardson, was growing her PR firm from kitchen tables to co-working spaces, but something was missing. The "standard" office felt gray, uninspired, and totally disconnected from the music and art we represent.

The "aha" moment? It happened at a party at Third Man Records while chatting with Jack White about his interior design. That spark led Kate to a building right around the corner: the perfect home for what would become InDo.

What does InDo stand for? Inspiration Domain.

It’s more than just a desk; it’s a community built for the makers, the musicians, and the boundary-pushers. From those early sketches to the vibrant hub we are today, we’ve always been about one thing: fueling your creative spark.
