Next week, on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, the Department of Communication Studies wraps its sizzling Season 180° with MOSAIC—our rousing annual festival, created to feature original 10-minute, one-act scripts written by students and performed by student actors as a staged reading. We hope you’ll join us in support of our student playwrights and their imaginative, thoughtful, and frequently humorous work! Performances run an hour each night beginning at 7 PM in the Cierpke Choral Hall of the Jackson Center for Music and Worship Arts on campus at Trevecca Nazarene University! (Please note: There is no performance on Thursday, April 28.)

Colossal cheers of congratulations today for @trevecca theatre education alum Kristin Butler (‘09) who was officially announced last night as Metro Nashville Public Schools’ 2021-2022 High School Teacher of the Year. She’s one of the hardest working people we know, and we’re so proud of her and her solid, creative work, her excellence as a teacher, and her ongoing positive impact on the lives of her theatre students! One weekend left to catch Trevecca Nazarene University’s THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER under the playful direction of two creative TNU alums—Nashville director/designer Hilary Frame and Nashville music educator/composer/director Rachel Stoltz. Hilary (’15) is co-founder/artistic director of Spark Theatre and has worked previously at local theatres such as Nashville Children’s Theatre, Nashville Rep, and Watershed. Audition gold! 🌟 Senior dramatic arts major Julia Mowry is headed to regional auditions at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Memphis this March after passing the state-level screening auditions in the fall.
