Since closing the Barn 18 months ago because of the pandemic, the impact the virus has had on many of you, the Barn staff, as well as the world, has been unprecedented.
That being said, we thought you might enjoy hearing Good News about your favorite staff/performers at the Barn and ask for your continued prayers and support for the Barn “family” who brought you 55 years of fond memories. As expected, after the Barn closed the hard-working staff immediately worked several jobs with a positive attitude, pursued their passions, and collectively hope and pray that someday, perhaps in a different form, the Barn will reopen.
Adam – After 29 years with the Barn, he and his wife work full-time, as they continue to foster children, raise their own beautiful family, and ministry/outreach on a daily basis. He misses all of you and sends love, health, and happiness to all.
Curtis – Brilliant performer, director, and box office manager now works full-time at an event company while continuing to perform in Nashville as theaters slowly reopen. Despite losing his belongings (all 63 pairs of shoes!) in a fire, Curtis remains committed to his craft. Watch for him and Jenny at Christmas in Greenbriar, TN Fiddle Dee Farms in “We need a Lot of Christmas”.
Jenny- Performer/director/employee extraordinaire. Without missing a week of work after 12 years at the Barn, Jenny took a job at Lovelace Café (get your biscuits!). She continues to perform as opportunities are available, is devoted, and will be a part of theatre rebounding in NASHVILLE! Come to Greenbriar and see Jenny perform at Christmas!
Joy– Exceptional all-around theatre person (props, acting, directing) returned home to Alabama and thrives in the theatre community there.
Daniel- For 15 years Daniel kept the Barn MAGIC stage operating, lighting, performing, and directing. Daniel currently can be found behind the scenes and in front of audiences everywhere in Nashville.
Many actors like Gerold Oliver, Alex, Brian, Daniel B., and other Barn favorites are still pursuing their love of performing.
AMBIENCE: Mike & Nessa – They sang dinner music before the shows and did EVERY job possible at the Barn. Mike and his wife Summer moved to Florida where he sings and she continues her nursing career…and BIG NEWS! Nessa with producer Don Cusic (Minnie Pearl author and Belmont professor) completed an album of original songs that Nessa wrote (she has written over 200). Shortly thereafter, Nessa was blessed to have signed a record contract with famed record label CURB RECORDS.
Here is a link to her first single. Please give it a listen and a like on her social media!

The Chaffins’ Janie continues to keep Bellevue beautiful with her gardening and charity works. John continues to drive her crazy with his projects when he isn’t diving somewhere in the islands.
The Barn Property– now in the very capable hands of a longtime friend of the Barn - Ferrari Properties. Whether the Barn will ever re-open remains to be seen, but it will certainly be treated with the honor it deserves.
As for me, I continue to encourage, inspire, and support those I meet. I am forever grateful for the six years I had of owning the Barn! It was truly a privilege.
Thank you again for your years of patronage to the Barn. Wishing you all good health and a joyous holiday season!
Love, Norma
We will continue to update you on the staff and their performances!
