ABOUT AINSLEY
At age eight Ainsley was discovered by the director of The Wellington Art Club, New Zealand when attending an Exhibition. Ainsley was in awe of the artwork on display and the members and staff were so pleased to see such a strong interest in a young child. Ainsley was later invited to another club event where this time Ainsley decided to take some of her own art to showcase! The art
ists and Director were so impressed with the talent, direction, motivation in one so young but had no 'Children's Classes' to offer at the club. The Director then decided to go forth and put it passed the Club Board to give Ainsley a 'Scholarship' to attend classes, sessions, sittings, stages and be mentored by all the very talented, accomplished and international artists. This is where Ainsley really began to build her foundations from a natural ability into true artist-ship and craft. Ainsley focused in on all she could absorb with determination and excitement drawing from all the influences around her. She was taught in pencil, charcoal, pastels, ink, watercolor, acrylic and oils on all surfaces. She learnt brush varieties, brush care, brush techniques and strokes. Ainsley obtained and practiced skills one by one as she was given tips and lessons by all the passing professional artists. Ainsley carried all her knowledge throughout her schooling, her pieces being chosen for Art Exhibitions and winning state prizes in both New Zealand and Australia. Ainsley's work is now refined into her own impressionistic style, vibrant color, depth and movement surround the structure of her pieces. Her abilities spread over all different styles from abstract to realism and are consistent to the justice and portrayal of each individual piece. Ainsley has always loved creating pieces for people that are personalized and one of kind for a specific room or place with depth, purpose and meaning. So she began customizing her work to her client’s specifications, ideas and thoughts bringing it all together to complete a truly unique original piece of artwork that can be treasured forever.
