Today, I’m honored to share the release of my new song ‘I’ll Be Here Waiting’, sung by the beautifully talented Ayla Carlock, a project born from inspiration and brought to life by so many gifted and compassionate individuals.
This song began as a spark months ago, after being introduced to a page and organization called Project Zero by a dear friend. Their beautiful portrayal of waiting children, expressed with such heart and depth, moved me beyond words. I truly believe God inspired me to write this song, hoping it might touch the hearts of those who hear it and inspire others to consider these deserving children, waiting for love, family, and home. Unknowingly, it’s also the perfect timing as this month is National Adoption Month. I hope this song resonates and encourages reflection on the meaning of family.

Lead Vocal: Ayla Carlock, who, at just 10 years old, poured her spirit into these lyrics, standing in for these waiting children with such warmth and strength.
Piano: John Angotti, whose beautiful performance on the piano reflects his lifelong dedication to music and his skill as a pianist. His gift for connecting people at just the right time was instrumental in making this project a reality. His dedication, both musically and personally, means so much to me.
Drums: The amazing Keith Carlock, an extraordinary musician, whose rhythm and talents gives this song its heartbeat.
Guitar and Production: Kyle Frey, producer and gifted musician, who not only captured the essence of each lyric in the music but also brought the entire project together with his insightful production. I’m always in awe of his vision, talent, and the way he intuitively hears what each song needs.
Bass: The talented Brett Frey, whose sound anchors the song, adding depth and richness.
And to the members of the various youth choirs from St. Philip in Franklin—thank you for your precious voices on the song’s closing notes. Your time, talent, and kindness added a beautiful touch to the song.
