November 12 edit: now that Bluey is getting attention, and shelter staff are under the public microscope, they claim (surprise):
"We were never going to euthanize Bluey, today."
The simple solution to preventing confusion & misinformation, and also of great benefit to urgent pets?
The same thing that all *public institutions, staffed by public service employees, and all paid for by tax-payer dollars* should demonstrate:
Transparency. ❤️
November 11 Post Content
An All-American blue boy will be lethally injected Wednesday November 12, at Hitchcock Road Animal Services. 💔
Why?
1) His recent adopter was unqualified, and quickly returned him.
2) He's been there since August 26, and he's suffering kennel anxiety.
3) Presumably, to make kennel space.
Staff already removed him from the shelter website. Apparently, they already consider him dead. 💔

Bluey 💙
Male, 3 years old, neutered, ready to roll
Happy, hammy, sweet, & active.
Sit, down, & shake? Easy peasy.
Loves adventures, fetch, snacks, & stuffies.
Loads up & rides in vehicles with ease.
Mannerly on leash, including when passing people, dogs, bicycles, & vehicles.
⭐Friendly with dogs, following proper decompression time and when properly introduced. He was more friendly with dogs earlier in his shelter stay, but has recently become more reactive, because of prolonged stress & anxiety.
Intake August 26 💔
ID # A236498
Available for adoption or 501c3 rescue NOW.
Adoption is in-person from 1-4pm.
If you plan to meet him tomorrow, first email & call so they don't kill him before you arrive.
