A long time ago my first teacher / mentor in this business gave me this advice: “get it good before you get it loud.”
I’ve carried that with me for over 20 years now and I realized this morning that the advice I was given is older than some of the guest mixers I’ve had at my console this week.
Now I’m the old man doling out the same advice to mixers who weren’t alive when I first learned the lesson.

Halsey hit the road in May for a short run of shows in support of a new single release, "Nightmare," and lighting designer Jose Antunes chose Elation's Artiste Monet and Rayzor 760 to light the special performances.
