SAYRE is a bold and deeply personal exploration of the struggles and triumphs of spirited women in Nashville, a city historically referred to as "The Athens of the South." Inspired by real-life experiences and conversations between the writers, the musical was born from a shared journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Originally workshopped in 2019, SAYRE was set for a 2020 debut to coincide with the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. Now, five years later, its message is more urgent than ever.

Mandy is an API singer-songwriter & guitarist who has called Nashville home since 2016. With a Bachelor’s in Music from Florida Atlantic University, her love for musical theatre began in summer camps, choir, and workshops—now making her BSN Theatre debut!

A Nashville native and accomplished actress, Ann has performed across the U.S. in roles such as Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, and multiple roles in Steel Magnolias. She has won Best Actress awards for Gypsy (Mama Rose) and Agnes of God (Mother Superior), and she has also toured and recorded with country legend Vern Gosdin.

She is honored to bring SAYRE to life alongside an incredible group of women and is grateful to the BSN team for this opportunity.

Jess Kean is thrilled to be a part of SAYRE after being away from the stage for over 10 years. She has lived in Nashville for 15 years and is excited to help tell the stories about struggles of spirited women alongside your favorite muses! Like Calliope, one of her favorite passions is poetry.

is a dynamic performer with a passion for storytelling through music and theatre. A seasoned singer-songwriter, she brings a rich, soulful vocal style to the stage, blending jazz, pop, and classic musical theatre influences. Chelcie has portrayed roles such as Fastrada in Pippin and was the understudy for Eva Perón while performing in the ensemble of Evita at The Keeton, captivating audiences with her charisma and vocal prowess.
She is thrilled to bring SAYRE to life alongside such an incredible group of women. Endless gratitude to the crew at BSN, her cats Tater Tot and Luna, and her partner Nathan for their love and support.

Tameshia Martin is excited to brace the stage of Playhouse 615 for the first time in the production “SAYRE,” in the role of Memory. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders and a graduate of Tennessee State University where she received her Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She is a Nashville actor, singer, spoken word and voice over artist, who works days in the insurance industry. Some of her favorite roles on the stage include Bernice in “Crimes of The Heart,” Calpurnia in “To Kill A Mockingbird,” Lena Mae Bransford in “An Evening With Miss Lena and Mr. Patterson,” Betsy Locust in “An Evening In Elmwood, and most recently Anica in “Spirit” at the Bell Witch Fall Festival. She is overly thrilled about this role, as it is one that has challenged her to further explore her creativity and to broaden her vocabulary. Tameshia identifies with Memory, in that she has never measured up by the “traditional” means, and has been labeled as a “dark horse” or a “broken doll.” She is grateful and thankful to God that regardless of what others may say, HE sees her as the HEAD and not the TAIL, as ABOVE and not BENEATH! She has had the pleasure of working alongside a very talented group of women, as this has been a beautiful experience that explores many topics that affect many women today. She is also very thankful for her love, Reynard, who has been supportive throughout the years!
