Gadabout Theater Company Keeping Nashville theater weird since 2014.

Gadabout Theater Company is an independent theater company of collaborating actors, comedians, artists, writers and performers based out of East Nashville, TN. We perform two major productions each year, plus a variety of pop-up sketch comedy and improv shows every month at various comedy spots and performance spaces around town. SHOW HISTORY:

Loved getting to see ‘s “Magical Journey” at last night as part of . We ❤️ playful, interactive, fun theater in non traditional theater spaces of course, and it was all of that and more. Plus sometimes Gadabout actor was in it.

How fitting that after wrapping up “A Midsummer Night’s Scream”, show Co-producer and Gadabout founder Stephanie went on vacation and got to visit the horror section of . It’s getting so close to our “A Midsummer Night’s Scream” horror variety show and we still have to give a shoutout to a couple more Nashville spaces that are great places for those who love horror movies.

We highly recommend you follow local video store . Yes, a video store. They are constantly getting in a great selection of horror movies on VHS and DVD (and nonhorror too) and often have great in-store events, such as the time Stephanie got to meet Frank from Donnie Darko. If you can’t make it to the store look for them at a pop up.

And of course, you need to find a Friday evening soon to head to for dinner and a movie. Plus check out their amazing lobby of spooky stuff or their haunted house in the Fall.

In honor of our spooky variety show, we’re highlighting spooky places and events around Nashville. is another must visit store in East Nashville. We’re hoping our horror variety show, “A Midsummer Night’s Scream” will be good entertainment this summer for those longing for the Halloween season.

As we continue to highlight places and events in Nashville for those who love spooky things, we wanted to give a shout out for a couple of events to have on your October calendars.

First, mark your calendar for the return of on October 25. This Halloween festival has always been such a good time, and we’re so happy they are returning this fall.

And second, on October 4 and 5th will be the second annual . If you are into indie horror films this seems like a local event not to miss. Also looks like they are still accepting submissions..
