The Real Life Players are happy to announce charity selections for our 2014 performance, Back in the Day. From the pool of nominations, we chose the following three organizations to receive this year’s proceeds:
1. The Salama Institute – Salama provides underprivileged Nashville area children, grades K-12, with an after-school, extended learning program emphasizing arts enrichment, academic tutoring, and leadership like skills.
2. The Oasis Center – Oasis is one of Nashville’s leading youth service organizations, offering 21 programs including crisis support services, youth engagement and action, as well as college preparatory resources. A longtime friend to the RLP, funds donated to Oasis will be directed their Crisis Services/Street Outreach Program, which provides much needed resources to Nashville’s homeless youth.
3. The Jason Foundation – The Jason Foundation seeks to prevent youth suicides through educational and awareness programs designed to give young people, educators, and parents the resources to identify and assist at-risk youth.
Thank you to all who submitted charity nominations. The Salama Institute, the Oasis Center, and the Jason Foundation represent the ideals and values of this year’s cast and provide important resources and services to the local Nashville community. We are glad to be able to support these invaluable organizations and their missions. Looking forward to a great show!
