About Dancity's Owner/Artistic Director:
Bianca Bowen has over 20 years old dance experience as a student, dancer, and teacher. While training under Melissa Tarzopolous' competitive team at Easton Dance Academy, Bianca discovered that her love for dance was more than just a hobby. She was a student at Dean College's School of Dance where she studied ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and modern under Jeremy-Ruth Revilock-Frost, Jill Silverman, Joan Palladino, Kelly Peters, Jean Wenzel, and Nailah Bellinger. Bianca was also a member of the school's hip hop team and a choreographer for multiple student choreographed showcases. After graduating with a dance degree, Bianca went on to teach at The Dance Factory in Plymouth, MA and took on the role as dance director at On Stage Theatre, in Abington, MA. On a whim on a snow day, Bianca sent an audition tape to Disney Cruise Line's casting office. The next morning, she received an email saying they wanted to meet her. After five years of teaching 6 days a week at On Stage Theatre, Bianca left Massachusetts to rehearse as a dancer and character performer with Disney Cruise Line. Unfortunately, an injury cut her contract short, but allowed her to make the move to Nashville sooner than planned. With experience in the classroom as both a student and choreographer, professional dance credits, a dance degree, multiple trips to dance conventions, competitive experience at many of the nations top competitions, and a flair that is credited to her unbringing in New England, Bianca hopes to share her love for her craft and inspire the dancers of Nashville. Let's work to make Music City a Dance City.
