We enjoyed our time with our friends at Hyatt. The Hyatt has decided to change its event strategy impacting a number of events. We wish them luck going forward. To put on the convention we all enjoy, we are excited to return to Sheraton & Embassy for the best fit for our attendees, bringing the energy and fun we have enjoyed for years. Including our courtyard events, outdoor space, photography, and more!

Does anyone know if there will be Black Friday ticket sales specials this year? We missed the after-con sale.

Another untimely loss in the entertainment biz. I worked with Jason during the peak years of MTAC in Nashville. He was a standup guy who sought to correct anything that he could to make the fan’s day and bring his best to the show. Never got to work with him again, thanks to the likes of Wizard World nabbing up talent with predatory exclusives, but the fans always came first.

People struggle in ways we can’t always see. Sometimes the help never comes. Always check on your people. And always express your love and admiration. You just never know.

Rest in Peace, JDF.

Will there be a geeks love music event this year?

Unbelievable.

Having spent so many years in Nashville at the helm of a large event with heavy Japanese pop-culture presence (MTAC) and working with the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville 在ナッシュビル日本国総領事館 and the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival in the mix as part of the overall phenomenal international relations in the city... this is a sad event to see. This is not only a taking of a life, but the theft from the world of an honorable and accomplished living symbol for so much progress.

Thanks to everyone who came out for MTAC this weekend in Nashville. It was such a fun convention seeing all the amazing cosplay and great to meet so many fans! 💗

Another MTAC in the books definitely great to be able to attend again, it was different for sure but being in a new venue deserves trail and error experiences the first few times there IMO hope to see a lot of you next year

If I knew MTAC was happening while I was In town this weekend I would have planned a lot better. I really wish I could have gone I sadly did not budget for this in my trip. 😔
