This sweet necklace just makes me happy with its soft pastels and the flower button. 🌸 A glimpse of beauty brings a bit of peace to the chaos of life - at least for me anyways. This is the second in a series of 6 one-of-a-kind chokers created from a resin button and modern pattern of colorful glass beads.

I love colorful chokers in the summertime, don't you? They add a little fun to any basics and add a textured layer to a necklace collection. A couple of weeks ago I posted similar chokers in pink and blue, but continuing on the beach theme, here are some in the yummy colors of peach and mint. The colorful necklaces have a unique combination of beads, and each knot is tied individually.

As I just returned from the beach yesterday, I am still seeing the blue sky and ocean in my mind's eye and wishing I could spend more relaxing moments at the beach. Here is my ode to the ocean in cobalt blue. It is the first in a series of 6 one-of-a-kind chokers created from a resin button and modern pattern of colorful glass beads.

Have you taken a vacation yet this summer!? I am sure we all need a break and change of pace. Our trip to New Orleans inspired me to combine the fun colors of peach and mint, so this image takes me back. I am not sure yet what we are doing this year (something to save for Italy next year!), but we are looking forward to seeing family in FL later this month. In honor of the seaside, I will leave you with this resin bracelet made from large scale resin beads and a shell charm. 🦩🌊🐚

I found a old collection of shell and glass buttons at an antique store in New Orleans. Nearly none of the buttons match, so I thought that a great way to reuse them would be as jewelry accents. They would have never seen the light of day, but now these beautiful buttons get to be worn again! This four-strand button bracelets are part of the antique shell button and tiny 15/0 bead series:

As you know, I am an Interior Designer and Artist passionate about sustainability and reuse, so when I saw a stack of beautiful, discarded upholstery samples, I thought that they had to be perfect for something! These one-of-a-kind zipper pouches are made from commercial grade upholstery samples (many of which have stain and moisture resistant finishes), and they can hold just about anything - from makeup or pens to miscellaneous items and cords. These durable pouches were proudly made in an environmentally and socially conscious way.

These are some of my favorite pieces because I love working with tiny beads (size 15), cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors, and I love incorporating pre-loved elements in my work, in this case antique glass buttons from New Orleans!

This series is designed to stack with the silver or gold chains that are so popular these days. They could be worn individually, together, or layered with your own collection to add color, texture, or volume to any look.

These colorful chokers are the perfect summer accessory to add a little fun to a casual day. 💦🍉 They can be worn on their own, combined with another colorful choker, or stacked with metal chain necklaces you already own. Each necklace has a unique combination of beads, and each knot is tied individually. I love the texture of the hand-knotted technique and the weight of these larger glass beads. 💖
