What keeps us going? What remains unbroken?

These questions sit at the heart of Unbreakable Light, a new exhibition by Ruth Chase exploring light—its science, its mystery, and its enduring presence in our lives.

Through paintings, carved Light Keepers, vintage photographs, and video, Chase moves between the visible and invisible, the known and the felt. Past and present quietly intertwine, inviting us to consider memory, time, connection, and the possibility that those who came before us may still be with us.

Rather than searching for answers, Unbreakable Light asks us to sit with the mystery—and return to the questions again and again.
