Went to for the first time in many many months and was front and center for this group: ! They hadn’t played as a group in over a year. Just to illustrate how excited they were to perform, this was their SECOND song of the evening. And it only went UP hill after that. Amazing energy, lyrics, licks, and pure authenticity. I hope to see Megg and her team again and again! Please tag the guitarist. He deserves to be known and shared.

You Are So Nashville If…you get giddy when you see your name pop up in the Nashville Scene!! It tickles me to no end that I got featured not once but thrice in the pages of ! Before I moved here in 2013 I would have The Scene mailed to my house in Burbank, so I could keep track of the goings-on in my new fave city. The issue was an instant hit for me. I longed to be a “local” long enough to contribute. And THEN…mentioned again because of a wonderful flick I was fortunate to be part of. The is screening the non-dub version (appropriately), but my name was kindly brought up in the warmest of ways. (Thank you Claudia Villeda) Love living here. Love you guys. Love The Nashville Scene. Love indie music and film.

Shoutout to East Park Donuts & Coffee] for not only surviving an unintended automobile invasion but brandishing the remains as a trophy!
(If ya haven’t heard…a DD done drove through the front of the building early AM. No injuries.)
The entire staff immediately rallied, cleaned up, and went back to the donut biz the very next day. Heard there was plenty of support from neighboring businesses as well. This is the love that permeates my soul!

Decided to say “screw you” to the ‘Roo and do something else for a change. Nothin personal Bonnaroo. I’ve gotten more “seasoned” with every revolution and have recognized my limits! Setting up camp in relentless heat, being around flocks of wild energy peeps…not what I wanted to put myself through this go ‘round. So…gave away my ticket and am treating myself to some staycations. Can’t believe I’ve been here almost 8 years and I’ve never been to ! What a wonderful experience! Tomorrow, I try kayaking. (I know. I’m still shedding my Los Angeles skin). Any recommendations for outdoor or local music fun, drop em below!
