Dear possible Volunteer:

The “ I Was Hungry” garden ministry needs athletic people that are adept at catching Butternut squash being gently thrown from a thrower inside of a squash patch.

The thrower gently walks among the plants that are still producing new squash at a rapid rate. The catcher stays on the edge of the patch and receives the thrown squash as they are gently lobbed/thrown to them. The distances can be as far as 40 feet and the squash weigh on average from one to three pounds.

We need catchers for the next several weeks on Saturdays at 9am and each Tuesdays at 4pm. After these collections drivers will take squash and other foods to the Branch Ministries and a Trevecca Towers Ministry.

It is easy not to notice but there are a LOT of HUNGRY people living among us. I had no idea how many there are until I started helping to feed them. Many of them are children and widows!

The next work time is Saturday July 13th at 9am in Southeast Davidson county near the Brentwood line. Message me for exact location please.

Today we had a few of the lads together in the woodshop. My friend Jim needed a rubber stopper put onto his cane. Another friend, Marc, wanted to make a table from a piece of wood his father gave him about 40 years ago.
Sawdust always makes one happy.

Here is the "I Was Hungry Ministry" garden report from this morning.

Next week Melanie Martin Campanis will be doing a simultaneous translation on the video into the Greek language.
She is just a beginner in her Greek language training so it will be an abbreviated Greek interpretation.

We are doing this to honor all of the many folks on the Greek Island of Nisyros via NISYROS ISLAND FANS who watch this video each week.

We are approaching the 1st anniversary of my father going to be with Jesus. So, feel free to honor him by posting a memory in the comments below.
