GSC is excited to have accomplished publisher Lauren Funk Martin join our June Focus Retreat. Lauren is Vice President of Publishing for Endurance Music Group and is responsible for managing relationships with its roster of songwriters and artists while identifying promising new talent.

Since joining the team in 2021, Lauren has been instrumental in the signing and retention of multiple high-profile EMG songwriters, artists, and producers. She was a part of the inaugural class of the Country Music Association’s Women’s Leadership Academy, a professional development program and group coaching experience for high-performing women in the country music industry. She has been named to Music Row Magazine’s “Next Big Thing” list of rising Music City professionals five consecutive times. Lauren joined EMG from Big Yellow Dog Music, where she spent seven years on the creative team and worked with Grammy Award-winning creators Maren Morris, Meghan Trainor, Josh Kear, and Daniel Tashian, among others. She has secured cuts with notable artists like Cody Johnson, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, Josh Turner, and many more.

“I was a live sound engineer from 2004 to, well, technically I still am. But there has NEVER been a photo taken of me behind the board. Really disappointing actually.

After going through my CD’s today, I think having Joan Jett tell me that my mix in her ears sounded great, is the best kind of photo 🤩🥰

I still remember it like it was yesterday too! Her yelling at the guitar tech because he was blocking her line of sight between her and I, and all the sweat she rung out of her black leather top! And of course me getting on the radio asking for someone to bring a mop!”

Briana Tyson, professionally known as BREELO and a pro writer for our June Focus Songwriting Retreat, is a Nashville-based producer, engineer, songwriter, and vocalist known for her artist-first approach to music production. As the founder of Breelo Music, a woman-owned and woman-powered production studio established in 2017, Tyson has built a reputation for creating high-quality, radio-ready productions while helping artists maintain their authentic sound.

Working across country, pop, rock, Americana, and singer-songwriter genres, BREELO has become a respected creative force in Nashville’s independent music scene. Her work includes full production, vocal production, demo creation, mixing, mastering, and artist development, collaborating with both emerging and established artists. Known for blending strong musical instincts with a highly personalized creative process, she has been praised for keeping “true artistry at the forefront” of every project.

Beyond production, Tyson is recognized for cultivating a supportive environment for artists, particularly female creatives in the industry. Through Breelo Music, she continues to expand her influence as a producer, mentor, and creative entrepreneur within the Nashville music community.

GSC is excited to have accomplished publisher Cliff Audretch join our upcoming songwriting Focus Retreat. Cliff is a veteran creative executive within the Nashville community who has worn many hats in his career: publisher, A&R, manager, songwriter, and producer and is renowned for his dedication to great songs and great songwriters. He is a trusted ally for many creatives within and beyond the music industry. Currently, Cliff consults with two companies in a publishing capacity: Lady Luck Publishing, collaborating with founder Kim Penz and Creative Director Bob Squance. He is also working with OEG Music, supporting talents like Wyatt Flores, signed to Island/UMG. Cliff is also currently doing A&R work for Magnolia Music, Randy Houser's independent label.

Cliff manages writer/producer Jeff Trott, famous for his work with Sheryl Crow, including iconic hits like "If It Makes You Happy" and "Soak Up the Sun." Cliff also recently music-directed the Audible scripted podcast "The Boars Nest" , which tells the real life story of songwriter champion Sue Brewer whose living room was the den of of 60's/70's Nashville songwriting, featuring folks like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson & Shel Silverstein. The podcast stars Mandy Moore and was written by Holly Gleason.

Alongside his many professional hats, Cliff's dedication to the creative process remains unwavering. He continues to write and create music, with recent writing credits including Brit Taylor's "For A Night" and Maggie Rose's "Only Time Around" as well songs with Josh Weathers "One" Alyssa Bonagura "Feels So Good", Matt Warren "When My Baby Cries", and Rebecca Lynn Howard "Holler". As a producer, Cliff is currently producing Will Jones, Matt Warren and just recently produced to songs for Will Moseley, 2025 American Idol runner-up
