Today's painting is called "Peaceful". The phrase, "boats don't sink because of the water around them, but the water that gets inside of them", always makes me think of these types of paintings. Water is a powerful element, as it can carve through rocks, extinguish fire, and rise up with the wind. It's all in how you flow in life. It's been many years since I've done a bamboo brush painting, and creating this one brought me to a place of deep calm. Painting is my meditation. It's my breath.
