Jay White is a singer/songwriter musician born and raised in Brooklyn, Ny, now residing in Nashville TN. Jay has been playing music all his life. He’s currently on tour with Robert Randolph and gearing up to record his Christmas project “Jay Whites Christmas“ Live on December the 12th, yes that’s this coming Tuesday right here in Nashville!

Khalil Ekulona:

Khalil Ekulona is the host of This Is Nashville for Nashville Public Radio. His resume is too long to go over (mad gaps in work history) but it is safe to say that Khalil has met many humans from all walks of life. He enjoys learning about people, life, and the universe. He's done everything: teaching, bartending, hip hop production, screenwriting, and of course the host of many amazing house parties. He believes in authenticity. He is on the Orca's side. And he thinks (really thinks) that everything will be alright.

As the Senior Distiller for Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, he is working towards his diploma in distilling from London’s Institute of Brewing and Distilling. His passion for the industry comes from experiencing its balance of art and science.

East Nashville has been a creative incubator for me starting with my years of teaching art at Lockeland Design Center. It's been truly thrilling to see ideas rooted in community experiences come to fruition, get their legs and run out into the world. I'm currently enjoying one of the most productive artistic times of my life through making paint by number kits from original paintings, my first series of public art works for ARTville, producing pieces for ARTcelectic and making all kinds of personal pieces for myself, friends and family just for the sheer joy of making things.

Kenny Dewitt is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. He began his musical journey at the age of 16 with musical influences from Sam Cooke and Brittney Howard to John Mayer and D’Angelo. As a result, his journey of songwriting encompasses a strong mix of soul, folk, and R&B.

Bill Laviolett's BBQ dream became a reality in 2016 when the Shotgun Willie’s BBQ food trailer started popping up around Nashville. In 2017, the Nashville Scene named his brisket “Best in Nashville.” In 2019, he found a nice little spot in his Inglewood neighborhood to bring his brick-and-mortar BBQ dog and pony show to life. Since then, his Inglewood and East Nashville neighbors along with folks from all around the Music City and beyond, have kept that dream going and growing!

Good Nights at Good Wood is a creative experience hosted by Sunday Night Soul's Jason Eskridge and East Side Storytellin's Chuck Beard at the historic Good Wood Nashville location. This monthly event brings together unique pairings of extraordinary Nashville creatives from every possible medium. Each specially curated show will combine musicians with painters, writers, comics, dancers, spoken word artists, and more. Our goal is to provide a "mixtape" atmosphere, blending individual and collaborative performances and conversations designed to lift up the talents who make Nashville so wonderful. Joshua's work has been nominated for a Webby Award in Arts and Culture. He is a recipient of the Academy of American Poets University Prize and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Vanderbilt University.

Dustin Ransom

Bio: Built on impeccable musicianship, a tasteful mixture of soul, funk, classic pop, & folk laced with cinematic textures, and honest, thought-provoking lyrics, Dustin Ransom creates genuine, engaging music to inspire listeners to be their true, authentic selves and be present to the world around and inside them. Born and raised in small-town Indiana, Dustin learned to play numerous instruments and write, sing, and record his own songs from a young age. In 2005 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and became a first-call musician, songwriter, producer, engineer, and mixer for dozens of artists. In 2015 began releasing the first of many genre-bending albums & EPs under his own name, as well as composing hundreds of original pieces of music for TV & film.
